History Made as XC2 250 Pros Sweep Big Buck Podium as the 2025 GNCC Season Kicks Off
Sunday morning of the VP Racing Big Buck GNCC, round one of the Progressive Insurance Grand National Cross Country (GNCC Racing) Series presented by Specialized, an AMA National Championship, was met with a brief thunderstorm and rain. The decision was made to combine the 8 am and 10 am amateur races, to preserve the track as best they could. The sun appeared bright in the sky as the rain headed out of the area, and racing was underway at 10 am on Sunday, February 16.
Stew Baylor Jr. and Rachel Gutish Take Round 1 of the 2025 Redline Oil National Enduro Series
Round 1 of the Redline Oil AMA National Enduro Series, the FMF Sumter National, went off in the sandy pine woods of South Carolina this past weekend. Billy Bolt Takes Win in Budapest and Pushes SuperEnduro Winning Streak to 24 Races
Round 5 of the FIM SuperEnduro World Championship took place in Budapest, Hungary, this past weekend and once again we were treated to seeing Billy Bolt (Husqvarna Factory Racing) continue a Championship winning streak that goes all the way back to the third round of the 2019/2020 season – 24 straight races if you’re keeping count.
This was also the most chaotic round of SuperEnduro that we’ve seen in quite a while, with big crashes all over the course through all 3 motos including, unfortunately, a season-ending injury for Alfredo Gomez.
In the end it was Bolt, Jonny Walker (Triumph Factory Racing) and Ash Brightmore (X-Grip Racing) taking the podium spots and the top three spots in the overall. Let’s dig into how it all went down in Budapest.
Billy Bolt Takes Insurmountable FIM SuperEnduro World Championship Lead with Round 4 Win.
Round 4 of the 2025 FIM SuperEnduro World Championship in Łódž, Poland, marked the halfway point of this year’s season, and coming into it there was absolutely no question at all that Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Billy Bolt is still the big dog when enduro goes inside. Bolt had won the first three rounds with only a P2 moto finish and a P2 SuperPole finish marring his almost perfect start to the campaign.
While we have previously noted that Bolt does make mistakes under pressure this season, we also have to point out that those mistakes don’t matter when no-one can take advantage of them. And (spoiler alert) we saw this again in Round 4. Read on to see how it all went down in Poland.
2025 King of the Motos Race Recap
mpionship kicked off in the California desert this past weekend at King of the Motos. There were some big changes coming into the new season, and a last-minute story that called into question Trystan Hart’s ability to race after a gruesome injury to his clutch-side index finger that had required surgery just two weeks before the race. In the end, The Robot did some exception Robot Things and came away with the win and the red overall leader’s plate as he starts his campaign for a fifth-straight USHE overall title.
2025 King of the Motos Race Preview
The 2025 AMA US Hard Enduro Championship kicks off this weekend in the California desert at King of the Motos, which is a unique round in the series as the only navigation-based race. Last year’s King of the Motos provided fireworks as we saw Cody Webb take the win over defending series champ Trystan Hart (FMF KTM Factory Racing), snapping The Robot’s incredible multi-season series winning streak in the process. Let’s take a look at last year’s race and identify some key storylines for this year.
Billy Bolt Wins SuperEnduro Round 3 with Another Perfect Night
Round 3 of the 2025 SuperEnduro Series went off in Romania, this weekend and it was Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Billy Bolt finishing with his second straight perfect night to take maximum points and extend his Championship lead to what seems like an insurmountable 58 points over Triumph Factory Racing’s Jonny Walker. Billy Bolt Takes Round 2 of the 2025 FIM SuperEnduro Series
Round 2 of the 2025 SuperEnduro Series went off in Riesa, Germany, this weekend and it was Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Billy Bolt running the table for a perfect night and maximum points over Dominick Olszowy (Rieju Factory Racing) and Jonny Walker (Triumph Factory Racing). While Bolt dominated the win column, Round 2 still showcased great racing, drama, and perhaps some signs that the front end of the field might be closing the gap to Bolt. Read on to find out more…
2024 Red Bull Tennessee Knockout - Lettenbichler victorious, hart clinches US Hard Enduro Championship
The 2024 Red Bull Tennesse Knockout took place over the weekend in Sequatchie, TN, and it was Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Manuel Lettenbichler taking home a hard fought win over defending TKO champ Trystan Hart (FMF KTM Factory Racing). As Round 5 of the FIM Hard Enduro World Championship and the finale of the AMA US Hard Enduro Series TKO was a busy race with implications across both series, and even though Hart was likely disappointed with his P2 finish behind Lettenbichler, he did secure his incredible FOURTH consecutive USHE overall championship. Coming into the weekend we were looking at three main storylines: the Hart vs. Lettenbichler battle; the FIM HEWC overall; and the battle for the final overall podium in the USHE championship. Let’s dive in and see how these all played it out in Tennessee!
2024 Red Bull Tennessee Knockout race preview
The 2024 Red Bull Tennesse Knockout is kicking off later today, and this year’s edition is looking to be an interesting one! This year we see the race hosting the final round of the AMA US Hard Enduro Series (USHE) and the 5th round of the FIM Hard Enduro World Championship (HEWC). While Canada’s Trystan Hart (FMF KTM Factory Racing) looks to have effectively sealed his third consecutive USHE overall title, things are tighter on the HEWC side after Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Manuel Lettenbichler missed a round after a knee injury. But most interesting of all should be the battle between Hart and Lettenbichler! Hart is highly motivated to beat Lettenbichler on ‘home’/North American soil as he has done several times previously. The Robot has openly said that beating Mani is his main goal this weekend. The bottom line is that this is going to be a great weekend of Hard Enduro racing here in North America. TKO’s short format racing setup is fast and exciting, and the battle between Hart and Lettenbichler should be epic. The racing for overall positions on both the USHE and HEWC sides should also be very hard-fought with several riders having huge motivation to make gains as we start in towards of the outdoor season. Let’s take a closer look at the storylines going into TKO 2024!
Girroir Makes Last Mile Pass to win Mason-Dixon GNCC
The Progressive Grand National Cross Country (GNCC Racing) Series presented by Specialized, an AMA National Championship concluded its eighth round of racing, Parts Unlimited Mason-Dixon GNCC, on Sunday, June 2, 2024, in Mt. Morris, Pennsylvania. Brief rain showers in the morning created some slick conditions for the first half of the day, but partly cloudy conditions made for some great afternoon battles throughout XC1 Open Pro and 250 Pro Sport classes.
The big story coming into this round was in the XC1 class, where second-place overall Steward Baylor Jr. really needed to finish ahead of overall leader Johnny Girroir, preferably with a win in order to secure the maximum five point differential. Baylor did everything he could, managing to stay ahead of Girroir before taking the race lead on the white flag lap. Girroir managed to ramp up the pressure, though, catching Baylor in the final mile before beating him to the win by under a second. Girroir now holds a 34 point lead over Baylor with five rounds left in the series. Barring a major mishap, Girroir has taken a stranglehold on the overall that will be nearly impossible to break.
GNCC Round 6 Race Recap - The Hoosier
The AMSOIL Hoosier, Round six of the 2024 Progressive Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) Series presented by Specialized, an AMA National Championship went off on Sunday at the famed Ironman Raceway in Crawfordsville, Indiana.
The approximately 10 mile course was in great shape by the midway point of the morning Womens’ Pro (WXC) race, following heavy rain showers Friday night, through the day on Saturday, and again on Saturday night. Strong winds and large fields throughout the day turned the vast majority of the track into a grippy and physically demanding beast.
Steward Baylor Jr. (Rocky Mountain Red Bear Kawasaki) took home his second consecutive win, coming from behind to beat series leader Johnny Girroir (FMF KTM Factory Racing) and Craig DeLong (Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing) to the line. Girroir would be relegated to P3 behind DeLong after pitting outside of the designated Pro pits, however.
Rachael Archer (Rocky Mountain Red Bear Kawasaki) also took her second consecutive win of the series, ahead of Shelby Turner (Enduro Engineering GasGas) and Rachel Gutish (Sherco USA) in what was a very eventful WXC race that saw both Korie Steede (Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing) and Brandy Richards (FMF KTM Factory Racing Landers) finishing off the podium.
Gus Riordan (FMF KTM Factory Racing Landers) was on the top step of the podium in XC2 for his third win of the season, finishing in front of teammate Grant Davis and Liam Draper (AmPro Yamaha).
