It was a relatively quiet week in the Enduro world, but it was still a great one with a spectacular EnduroGP Wales going off in Europe, and FMSQ rolling in New Brunswick, Canada. Add on some ISDE team announcement news, Sam Sunderland’s retirement, the release of the 2025 EnduroGP calendar, a potential Triumph enduro bike siting, and we definitely have some stuff to talk about!
Great Britain Announces 2024 ISDE Team Selection
Dirt Store ISDE Team GB have announced their 2024 lineup of the ten riders who will represent Great Britain at the 98th FIM International Six Days Enduro. The iconic event will take place on October 14-19 in Silleda, Spain. After an up and down 2023 outing in Argentina where the Men’s Trophy Team picked up third overall with the Women’s and Junior Trophy Teams struggling near the back of the fields due to rider attrition, Great Britain will be looking to turn things around in Spain.
EnduroGP Round 6 GP Wales Race Preview
The sixth round of the Paulo Duarte FIM EnduroGP World Championship is taking place this weekend at Cwmythig Hill in Rhayader, Wales. Let’s dive in and take a look at the big stories coming into the penultimate round of the Championship!

Andrea Verona Takes Day One EnduroGP Win At Polisport GP Of Slovakia
In an exciting opening day of competition at round five of the Paulo Duarte FIM EnduroGP World Championship, GASGAS Factory Racing’s Andrea Verona claimed his third victory of the season at the POLISPORT GP of Slovakia. Hot on the Italian’s heels was Beta Factory Racing’s Nathan Watson, with Honda Racing RedMoto Enduro Team’s Steve Holcombe in third. Tasmanian Kyron Bacon (Yamaha) secured a hard-fought win in the GALFER FIM Junior Enduro World Championship.

No joking around this time out of the gates, the past week was a great one in the Enduro/Off-Road world! From a wild Italian round in Enduro GP to one of the biggest GNCC races of the year in West Virginia, to a very interesting Hard Enduro World Championship in Serbia, there was a ton of great action going down. The opening day of racing at round three of the Paulo Duarte FIM EnduroGP World Championship in Romania saw GASGAS Factory Racing’s Andrea Verona claim the win. Fighting hard all day, Verona held firm to secure his first EnduroGP class victory of the season. Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Josep Garcia took second, with Honda Racing RedMoto Enduro Team’s Steve Holcombe third.
There was also a season-first victory in the GALFER FIM Junior Enduro World Championship with Max Ahlin (KTM) taking the win on day one in Bacau.

EnduroGP Set for Return to Romania
The hotly contested Paulo Duarte FIM EnduroGP World Championship sets its sights on round three this weekend in Bacau, Romania. Making a long overdue return to Romania, this will be the first time in 11 years that the world championship has visited the region.
The opening two rounds of the season in Portugal ended with Honda Racing RedMoto Enduro Team’s Steve Holcombe and Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Josep Garcia tied at the top of the EnduroGP standings thanks to two race wins each. With three wins from four starts, Fantic Racing Team’s Axel Semb leads the GALFER FIM Junior Enduro World Championship, while Manuel Verzeroli (KTM) is out front in the Enduro Youth category.

Going head-to-head with GASGAS Factory Racing’s Andrea Verona, Holcombe secured the top step of the EnduroGP podium by just one second. Day one winner Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Josep Garcia was third.

The 2024 Paulo Duarte FIM EnduroGP World Championship picks up speed as it heads to Valpacos in Portugal for round two this weekend. After last weekend’s exciting and explosive opener in nearby Fafe, the battle for a place on the podium is set to be equally fierce in Valpacos.
At the head of the EnduroGP classification it’s Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Josep Garcia who holds an early lead, while in the GALFER FIM Junior Enduro World Championship, Fantic Racing Team’s Axel Semb leads the way.
