Andrea Verona Races to Victory on Day Two of FIM EnduroGP of Spain

dramatic late charge by GASGAS Factory Racing’s Andrea Verona saw the Italian take victory on day two at round two of the Paulo Duarte FIM EnduroGP World Championship.

After picture-perfect weather on day one at the GP of Spain for round two of the Paulo Duarte FIM EnduroGP World Championship, day two was the polar opposite. Forecasted adverse weather conditions rang true, bringing torrential rain and flooding throughout Saturday night and into Sunday morning.

Intense work by promoters Prime Stadium Eventos, event organisers Moto Club Segre and the FIM, ensured racing could continue. Revising the course layout and delaying the start allowed the weather to improve, creating better conditions for all.

Zach Pichon Takes First EnduroGP Win, Francesca Nocera and Kyron Bacon Top the Day 2 Podiums at GP of Portugal

On day two at the opening round of the 2025 Paulo Duarte FIM EnduroGP World Championship, it was TM MOTO Boano Factory Enduro Team’s Zach Pichon who raced to his debut EnduroGP overall victory, while taking an early lead in the championship. GASGAS Factory Racing’s Andrea Verona narrowly missed out on the win in second, with Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Josep Garcia completing the podium in third.

Josep Garcia, Francesca Nocera and Kyron Bacon Top the Day 1 Podiums at GP of Portugal

Day one at the opening round of the 2025 Paulo Duarte FIM EnduroGP World Championship saw Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Josep Garcia claim the overall victory in Fafe, Portugal. Despite returning from injury, the Spaniard put in an impressive performance to take the top step of the podium over TM MOTO Boano Factory Enduro Team’s Zach Pichon, with Honda Racing RedMoto Enduro Team’s Steve Holcombe in third.

KTM’s Matthias Walkner Out of 2024 Dakar with Leg Injury

Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Matthias Walkner is recovering well following surgery to repair an injury to his left leg, which he sustained while training in the United States. However, the damage is such that the Austrian will be unable to compete in the Dakar Rally in January. Teammate Kevin Benavides also injured his left leg while training recently, but the Argentinian is expected to be back riding in time for Dakar.
